We invite persons with disabilities to volunteer with the American Red Cross.
We believe that you add a richness to our organization, and we are committed to
providing the programs, people, and services that you need to become a
volunteer.
What can you do for the American Red Cross? Everything. We are dedicated to
making sure that persons with disabilities have the opportunity to participate
in all of our activities to every reasonable extent. A Disability Task Force at
Red Cross national headquarters has been created to ensure that we live up to
our promise. This task force is composed of twelve nationally selected
volunteers and employees who meet once a month to identify the accomplishments,
needs, and concerns of American Red Cross volunteers with physical and mental
disabilities. Many on the task force have disabilities and work hard to make
sure that your voice is heard.
