On the second Tuesday of every month, the Youth do blood pressure screenings at a local

retirement home in Winston-Salem.

The Youth In Action attend Leadership Development Camp.  They attend classes to learn

CPR/First Aid, teach Whales Tales to K-3rd Graders and various others, such as Active Listening,

Diversity and Leadership Qualities.

The YIA go to Senior Services twice a year, as a Community Service Project.

The YIA go to the Samaritan Inn and serve lunch.

We will also teach FACT (First Aid for Children Today) classes for K-3rd graders throughout

the year.

We volunteer as greeters or canteen workers at the Blood Center and at blood drives in

the communities.

We go on disaster drills and ride with the Disaster Action Team in the Emergency Response

Vehicle when it is appropriate.

We help with various administrative duties that the NWNC Chapter staff need such as filing,

mailings, and tons of other things.

We take care of our stream for the Adopt-a-Stream project in Forsyth County at least four

times a year.

We hold small fundraisers, such as cookouts and pizza and cookie sales,  to help raise

money for Youth In Action.

These are only a few of things we do during the year...
