Who We Are:

We are the Youth In Action (YIA) for the Northwest North Carolina Chapter of The American Red Cross.

Our Mission:

The NWNC-American Red Cross Youth In Action is led by youth volunteers who provide leadership 

for the core of youth volunteers at the Chapter.  The group does this through programs that foster 

leadership and volunteerism in youth and young adults.  The program adheres to the Red Cross 

principles of service to meet the needs of people while providing opportunities for volunteers to 

be involved in servicing others.

We serve the people of Davie, Forsyth, Stokes and Yadkin Counties. 

All of our members are 14 years or older and dedicated to the mission of the American Red Cross. 

We volunteer in Blood Services, Health & Safety Services, Disaster Services and general Administration. 

We also have our own projects, such as Adopt-A-Stream, Blood Pressure Screenings for Seniors, and

help out at the Samaritan Inn every chance we get, to name a few.

The YIA is active all during the year, but most of our activities are scheduled in the summer.
